actually, these nine days (but the title above has a nice ring to it, due to
the movie...) have been my longest away from work since i took off for
my tour of the US two years ago.
i read books, ran as much as i could and tried to regain some sanity. meeting some friends including one whom i had last met 9 years ago, helped make the most of this vacation - somewhat literally dampened by the tragic destruction wrought by floods in Karnataka and AP.
if you had asked me 2 years ago how i would like to spend a week's vacation, i don't think staying at home would have been amongst my 1st three answers...
over the last nine days, i ran
30 km on Sun (the day after i landed)
10 km on Tue
10 km on Wed
30 km on Fri
10 km today (Sun)
90 km in 9 days...
the 1st of those 30 km runs helped banish some fears of not having done much since Apr when I had accompanied
Bhasker on one of his 12 in 12. the 2nd one helped helped get some mileage.
now i am on an official dry spell till Bombay.
and back to the money grinding city t'row morning...
