... actually the next few years...

1. qualify for boston
2. cycle across france for atleast 2 weeks, retracing parts of Le Tour
3. learn to bowl overarm (for a full over atleast)
4. learn to play the guitar
5. see barcelona

until a few years ago, 1 and 5 didn't exist. there is already a pal mad enough to agree to accompany me on 2 above. 1, 3 and 4 are solo pursuits.

Advertising Peeves

Occasionally, I get quite pissed with consumers' intelligence being insulted (atleast in my opinion).
My current peeve is with the HDFC Standard Life ad.

In the Hindi version, the daughter who gives her dad a cheque is named "Toolika Sharma" and in the supposedly Kannada version, which is dubbed in quite a pathetic manner, the name is "Arati Krishnan." Couldn't the advertisers have reshot the ad? Can't they atleast redo the ad with better lip syncing?

I don't see myself buying the product.

Here is my one-line for the day " if i don't have fire in the belly, will gas do?!"
