eagerly awaiting a review of both books, esp the undercover economist.

I will write about The Undercover Economist.
The Toyota Way Field book is like an implementation guide to the Toyota Production System(TPS). So it is a difficult book to describe. I can assure you that it is useful if you want to implement some production improvement initiatives. However it is not a book to be read per se.
